Job Readiness

The Job Readiness Program at AHRC is an educational tool created to assist individuals in low income communities of southwest Atlanta gain the knowledge and skills required to enter the workforce and sustain long-term jobs. This tool is delivered through a series of individual and group training with a focus on self-awareness of skills and life experiences; resume building; area of interests and resource identification; interview training and practices; introduction to employment search; effective communication and understanding of code of conducts; and more. Length of training and number of sessions will be unique to each individual’s need and paste of learning. 

Our partnership with Atlanta Workforce Development and Westside Works further assists in connecting our clients to job market and skill trainings. The overall goal of this program is to increase financial independence by decreasing unemployment in the marginalized communities AHRC serves.
